This is, by the way, World Poetry Day. And, in the U.S., National Poetry Month fast approaches, lilacs all a-flutter. (It strikes me as odd that the Academy of American Poets website makes no mention of World Poetry Day, and it's a pretty important thing if you're a poet or an avid reader of poetry or anyone who thinks that poetry is important . . . .)
