World Naked Bike Ride Dept.:

World Naked Bike Ride?

World Naked Bike Ride!

World Naked Bike Ride!

(There is actually a bit of history to biking nude.)

"Fashionable Nonsense is a fabric of many threads, a sea fed by many rivers, a library with many volumes, a dog with many fleas." Scratch, scratch.

"What is Elitism?."

"It is considered a husband's rights that his wife should obey him . . . ."

Now that the fact that things are really getting out-of-control over there is becoming more and more obvious . . . . During the Bushies' tragically successful (and really still ongoing) effort to sway and control popular perception of selected areas of the Middle-East, much was made of the plight of women in Afghanistan under the Taliban, in order to rationalize and apologize for "regime change" with military action. But the Taliban were never alone in their oppression of women--they were only more flagrant and ridiculous.

Witness this report--"Saudi presenter shows beaten face"--from Saudi Arabia, which is perhaps after Israel the U.S.'s strongest "ally" in the Middle-East; and where today there prevails the same Islamic Sharia law that seems likely to prevail in Iraq, if the U.S. continues with its present policy and actions. I mean, one would think, naturally and logically, that things would be especially hard for women in an environment where militant Islamic fundimentalists--no few actually armed to the teeth--now have far more power and a far easier time of things . . . especially in the riot-wake of a recently decapitated secular--though granted oppressive in its own ways--goverment.
