Well, it's come and gone, and Geov Parrish sums it up in "2003 Media Follies!"

As 2003 draws to a close upon the United States, with the moans and groans of both over-exposed Poor-Little-Rich-Girl Paris "I Am Not a Slut!" Hilton and (now conveniently ex-) Good Ol' Boy Saddam Hussein yet echoing in the background, amidst a clamor of Mad Cow Terror Alerts--watch out for cattle carrying brown paper bags and wielding scimitars!--the new year looms like a great big looming thing, with a Presidential election in its mouth. (And how was your Christmas, Virginia?) Who can say what's to come but that, like the ancient Chinese curse would have it, it will prove interesting? Have a :-).
